Only surrounded by her staff, Ada lives in a huge villa, totally occupied with her phenomenal computations and experiments. When her nanny leaves the villa, a private tutor is employed to educate her together with Mary. Mary is exactly the opposite of eccentric and impatient Ada. She is romantically minded, loves books and longs for adventures. And these pop up faster than expected.
When both girls found the Wollstonecraft Detective Agency and place an ad in the newspaper, they are appointed for their first case. A rare jewel has been stolen. And what do a strangely smelling book, a mysterious fishmonger and three men with weird hats have to do with the missing jewel? Ada and Mary must get to the bottom of this by all means!
This book is suitable for readers between 8 and 12 years of age.
