Ethan, who secretly admires Maura Heldsman, can hardly stand that she of all students takes part in the terrible reality show “For Art’s Sake“ shot at their school, Selwyn Academy. Hoping to be granted a scholarship later there are other classmates who equally participate in it, but nobody is allowed to be present during the live shootings. One day, however, Ethan unwillingly gets stuck in his locker and can follow a part of the shootings.
When he later tells his friends Luke, Elizabeth and Jackson about them and that there is a script contrary to what was said before, they can hardly believe it. Something should be done against this! By protest poems put subversively in circulation they will demonstrate against this reality show at Selwyn Academy. It is an art school after all! Or is there more behind this show than they suspect?
