When J. J. Tully finds the track of a possum in the middle of the night, it runs away. A possum is no animal to be trifled with! Therefore, J. J. Tully carefully looks after mama chick Moosh and her chicks, even if the chicks are very tiresome. They have been acting even more strange than usual since Diamond Lil, a beautiful snow-white dog, moved in next-door. J. J. Tully is surprised when he meets Diamond Lil in front of the chicken coop one night.
The chicks and mama chick Moosh are totally enthusiastic about her, but J. J. Tully keeps being suspicious. One night he is awakened by loud screaming! The possum has come back, but, fortunately, Diamond Lil is at hand on time. After this night J. J. Tully is prepared to trust Diamond Lil. But Vince, the house dog, meanwhile knows exactly who Diamond Lil really is and what secret surronds her!
