The Fault in Our Stars

Is there anything worse than suffering from cancer? Yes, it is. Losing the love of your life because of that is even worse!

There is only one thing which is more lousy than dying from cancer at sixteen – it is having a child who is dying from cancer! To make her mom happy and to get over her depression, Hazel has been attending a support group of teenagers suffering from cancer for some time. The only silver lining in the group is Augustus. Although being a cancer patient, he perceives his life as a roller-coaster ride – but the only way is up.

Augustus spares no effort to get to know Hazel. But he is not interested in her medical history, he wants to learn about her hobbies, passions, fetishes etc. Finally, he learns about Hazel’s biggest wish. She longs to meet the author of her favorite book in order to find out more about the characters’ fate. So he gives his dearest wish from a wish fulfillment service to Hazel. But you don’t necessarily get what you want.

This book is suitable for readers aged 14 and 17.
