Penguin Pipkin wants to know how deep the sea is. No problem at all! His mother tells him to find out about this on his own! On his way he meets a seal and a big blue whale, but both are unable to tell him how deep the sea is. The deeper he goes, the darker it gets. Then he spots a salty sea dog in a yellow submarine and Pipkin is taken onboard. The yellow submarine dives deeper and deeper until it gets as dark as night.
Strangely illuminated creatures are all around! The trip goes on until they reach the sea bed. Nobody can be seen and, slowly, Pipkin feels a bit uneasy because there is so much water above him. So the salty sea dog and Pipkin go up again. And as Pipkin tells his mother about his adventures in the deep sea, she is very proud of her little penguin.
