A Taste of the World: What People Eat and How They Celebrate Around the Globe

Feed your imagination and come celebrate festivities across the world.

What is the importance of cherry blossoms in Japan, and did you know they can be used to flavor cakes and ice cream? Who invented the margherita pizza and how is chocolate made? Everyone loves an excuse for a celebration and what better way to do it than through food.

A Taste of the World is a journey across different tables and picnic blankets from China to Canada, to Sweden and Nigeria. Learn about fascinating dishes, traditions and myths in 22 countries across the world.

This book is suitable for children between 5 and 7 years of age.

A Taste of the World is full of fun facts. Each page is stunningly illustrated with warmth and inventiveness by author and illustrator Beth Walrond.

Beth Walrond is a Berlin-based, British illustrator who graduated from Falmouth University in Cornwall, England. Her portfolio of international clients includes: Wired, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, among others. Beth is a long time volunteer for non-profit organisation Pass the Crayon, where she leads art workshops for child refugees. This experience inspired A Taste of the World, based on Beth`s desire to explore different types of food around the world for a young audience in an effort to see what unites us no matter where we live.
